Buger, the smallest municipality of Mallorca, is an idilic village with Marés Stone houses and a picturesque church, set on a hilltop location.
With a long agricultural background, where, almond and carob trees dominate its landscape, Buger benefits from a stategic location, only 5 min away from the motorway to Palma, and in a 15 minutes drive to the beautiful bays of Alcudia
The locality delimits with Campanet, Sa Pobla, Inca and Selva.
Its past goes back to the Talayotic era. The town has prehistoric remains located in the Talayotic village of Rafal des Puig.
In the Islamic era, irrigation techniques were developed that favored the construction of water mills. This fact leaded to agricultural prosperity and therefore to the proliferation of farms, properties so sought after and highly valued nowadays.

But in addition to all the historical data, Búger is above all a paradise for those, in search of something special. Surrounded by a magnificent natural landscape, majestic mountain scenery, this village is just made to shut out the stress of everyday life.
The last Sunday of May, Buger celebrates the “Fira i festes des Jai”. It is a tradition recovered in 1977 that recalls an ancient custom, when the grandparents returned to the village after attending the fairs of Costitx and Sineu and were received by their grandchildren. The mains streets dress up to the occasion, and street vendors offer the best of local gastronomy and crafts.
From Buger you can discover several hiking trails reaching the Hermitage of Santa Magdalena or Campanet.
